How to receive money from the UAE (Dubai) in Nigeria
For many people the fastest option is for the sender in the UAE to send USDT (a dollar stablecoin) to your KWIQ wallet. You then sell it for naira and withdraw to your Nigerian bank account. 1 USDT = ₦1,334.31 on KWIQ today (11 October 2026).
Option 1: USDT from the UAE, sold for naira on KWIQ
The sender changes dirhams (AED) into USDT on a crypto exchange they can legally use in the UAE, then sends it to your KWIQ USDT address. It arrives once the blockchain confirms it, including at night and on weekends, and you choose when to sell for naira.
- Step 1
Get your address
Download KWIQ, sign up, open your USDT wallet and copy the deposit address and its network.
- Step 2
Share it
Send the address and the network to the person paying you in the UAE.
- Step 3
They send USDT
They buy USDT with dirhams on their exchange and send it to your address on that network.
- Step 4
Sell and withdraw
Swap USDT to naira in KWIQ (free) and withdraw to any Nigerian bank account.
What you receive in naira
Once the USDT is in your wallet, this is roughly what it's worth at KWIQ's current rate. The USDT to naira rate page updates through the day.
| USDT | You get (naira) |
|---|---|
| 50 USDT | ₦66,716 |
| 100 USDT | ₦133,431 |
| 200 USDT | ₦266,862 |
| 500 USDT | ₦667,155 |
| 1,000 USDT | ₦1,334,310 |
| 2,000 USDT | ₦2,668,620 |
Option 2: Bank transfer from the UAE
The sender's bank sends dirhams or dollars to your Nigerian bank account, usually by international (SWIFT) transfer. It suits large, documented payments, but it can take a few working days, both banks may charge fees, and the conversion rate is set by the banks.
Option 3: Money transfer apps
Remittance apps let family and employers in Dubai and the rest of the UAE pay by card or bank and deliver naira to your account. They're convenient, but fees and exchange rates vary between providers and days, so compare the naira amount that actually arrives.
Which option should you choose?
| If you need… | Best option |
|---|---|
| Money the same day, including weekends | USDT to your KWIQ wallet |
| To keep the money in dollars for now | Hold USDT in KWIQ and sell later |
| A large, documented payment | International bank transfer |
| Something simple for a sender who avoids crypto | A money transfer app |
Freelancers and remote workers
If clients in the UAE pay you, ask whether they or their payment platform can pay in USDT or USDC. You share your KWIQ address once and cash out to naira whenever you like. Zero fees when you swap crypto to naira; crypto-to-crypto swaps cost 2%.
Stay safe
- Paste addresses instead of typing them, then check the first and last few characters.
- Send on exactly the network your KWIQ deposit screen shows. A different network can lose the funds.
- Send a small test amount the first time you use a new address.
- Never share your password, PIN, one-time codes or wallet recovery phrase with anyone.
- A payment screenshot is not a payment. Wait until the funds show in your wallet.
