These terms are an agreement between you and KWIQ ("KWIQ", "we", "us") for using the KWIQ mobile app, kwiq.app and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use KWIQ

To use KWIQ you must:

be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract;
give accurate, complete and current information, and keep it up to date;
use only your own account, and only for yourself.

We may refuse to open an account or provide a service where the law requires it, or where we can't verify your identity.

2. What KWIQ does

KWIQ lets you:

receive, store and send supported cryptocurrencies in wallets in your account;
swap between supported cryptocurrencies;
sell supported cryptocurrencies for naira and withdraw to a Nigerian bank account;
buy airtime and pay bills.

Wallet services and naira payments are provided through licensed partners. Some features may depend on those partners, and may change or be unavailable from time to time.

3. Your account and its security

You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your password, PIN and devices secure, and don't share one-time codes with anyone. KWIQ will never ask for your password, PIN or one-time codes. Tell us straight away at admin@kwiq.app if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. Identity checks and compliance

To meet anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing and other legal obligations, we and our partners verify identities and monitor transactions. We may ask for more information or documents at any time. If we can't complete our checks, or we suspect unlawful activity, we may delay, decline or reverse a transaction, limit or suspend your account, and report the matter to the relevant authorities where the law requires.

5. Rates, fees and transactions

Rates: the app shows the rate and the naira amount before you confirm a sale or swap. The amount you confirm is the amount that applies. Rates on our website are indicative and change through the day.
Fees: swapping crypto to naira is free. Crypto-to-crypto swaps cost 2%. Any other fee is shown in the app before you confirm. Blockchain network fees for sending crypto are charged by the network and the sending wallet or exchange.
Deposits: send each coin only to its matching KWIQ address, on the network the app shows. Crypto sent on the wrong network, to the wrong address, or in an unsupported coin may be lost permanently. We'll try to help, but we can't guarantee recovery.
Finality: blockchain transactions can't be reversed once confirmed. Check every detail before you confirm.
Withdrawals: naira withdrawals go to the bank account you choose. Make sure the account details are correct. Bank processing times are outside our control.

6. What you must not do

You must not use KWIQ to:

break any law, including laws on fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions;
deal in stolen funds or proceeds of crime, or receive payments from scams;
act for someone else, or let anyone else use your account;
give false information or impersonate anyone;
abuse promotions, referrals or bonuses;
interfere with, reverse-engineer or attack the Services.

7. Risks you should understand

Prices move: crypto values can rise and fall sharply, and you could lose money.
Technology: blockchains, wallets and networks can be delayed, congested or fail.
Regulation: laws on crypto can change and may affect the Services.

Nothing on KWIQ, including our website, blog and guides, is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. You are responsible for your own decisions and for any taxes on your transactions.

8. Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us, once pending transactions are complete and any balance is withdrawn. We may suspend or close an account to comply with the law, to protect you or others, or if these terms are broken. Where the law allows, we'll tell you why.

9. Our content

The KWIQ name, logo, app, website and content belong to KWIQ or its licensors. You may use them only to use the Services as intended.

10. Other services and links

The Services may link to or rely on third-party services, such as blockchains, app stores and banks. We're not responsible for their content or how they work.

11. Liability

We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, KWIQ is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or losses caused by your own mistakes (such as sending crypto to the wrong address or network) or by sharing your login details. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, contact support first through live chat, admin@kwiq.app or +2348098460000. Include your transaction details and any reference number we've given you, so we can resolve it quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes that can't be resolved with us may be brought before the Nigerian courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Services or the law change. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, tell you in advance in the app or by email. If you keep using KWIQ after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
