KWIQ Auto Cashout: Turn Crypto Deposits Into Naira Automatically
· 3 min read
Short answer: Auto Cashout is a KWIQ feature with two switches. Auto-Sell sells every crypto deposit for naira as soon as it arrives, at the normal sell rate, and puts the naira in your KWIQ wallet. Auto-Withdraw, if you turn it on too, sends that naira straight to your default bank account. Set it once in the app's More tab, confirm with your transaction PIN, and crypto you receive becomes naira without you doing anything. Anything that can't be paid out stays safely in your wallet.
Tunde gets paid in USDT by a client in Canada, usually late at night Lagos time. For months his routine was the same: wake up, check the deposit, open the app, sell, withdraw, then start his day. Most mornings it took five minutes. Some mornings, when he was travelling or busy, the USDT sat there for days.
Auto Cashout does those five minutes for him.
What Auto Cashout does
It has two switches, and they work together:
| Switch | What it does | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-Sell | Sells every crypto deposit for naira as soon as it arrives, at the normal sell rate. The naira lands in your KWIQ wallet. | Your transaction PIN to turn it on |
| Auto-Withdraw | Sends the naira from auto-sold deposits to your default bank account. | Auto-Sell on, a verified identity, and a default bank account |
- Auto-Sell only: crypto in, naira in your KWIQ wallet. Good if you want naira ready to spend on airtime, bills or a later withdrawal.
- Auto-Sell and Auto-Withdraw: crypto in, naira in your bank. Good if you just want your money where you spend it.
Sales you make yourself aren't affected either way, and turning Auto-Sell off turns Auto-Withdraw off too.
How to set it up
- Open the KWIQ app (Android, iPhone or the web app) and go to the More tab.
- Tap Auto Cashout.
- Switch on Auto-Sell, and Auto-Withdraw if you want the naira sent to your bank.
- If you turned on Auto-Withdraw, set a default bank account from the same screen. Any Nigerian bank or fintech account works, including OPay, PalmPay and Kuda.
- Tap Save changes and enter your transaction PIN.
The app shows a summary of what's now on, in plain words, so you can check it did what you meant.
Rates, fees and limits
- The rate is the normal sell rate at the moment your deposit arrives, the same as if you sold it yourself. Check today's figures on the crypto to naira rates page.
- Zero fees. Selling uses the same crypto-to-naira swap as a manual sale, which has zero fees on KWIQ, and there's no charge for the feature itself.
- No stamp duty. KWIQ doesn't charge stamp duty.
- If a payout can't go through, for example it's under the withdrawal minimum or over a limit, the naira stays in your KWIQ wallet and the app tells you. Nothing is lost.
Which coins it covers
Every coin listed in the KWIQ app, from Bitcoin and USDT to Ethereum, BNB, Solana and the rest: anything you can normally sell on KWIQ is sold when it arrives. A deposit below that coin's minimum sell amount stays as crypto, and you can sell it yourself later. You still need to send each coin on the network your deposit screen shows; how to check which coins and networks KWIQ accepts explains how.
Who it's for
- Freelancers and remote workers paid in USDT, who'd rather have naira the moment a client pays; see remote jobs in Nigeria that pay in dollars.
- Families receiving money from abroad, so the person at home gets naira without learning to sell crypto; see how to receive money from abroad.
- Anyone who doesn't want to watch prices. If you'd rather hold some crypto, leave Auto-Sell off and sell when you choose; should I sell my Bitcoin? can help you decide.
Turn it on once
Download the KWIQ app and find Auto Cashout in the More tab, or create a free account on the web and set it up there.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert crypto to naira automatically?
Yes, with KWIQ's Auto Cashout. Turn on Auto-Sell and every crypto deposit is sold for naira as soon as it arrives, at the normal sell rate. Turn on Auto-Withdraw too and the naira is sent to your default bank account.
Which coins does Auto Cashout work with?
Every coin listed in the KWIQ app. There's no coin-by-coin setting: when Auto-Sell is on, every crypto deposit you could normally sell is sold for naira. A deposit below that coin's minimum sell amount stays as crypto for you to sell later.
What happens if the bank payout fails?
The naira stays in your KWIQ wallet, so nothing is lost, and the app lets you know. The same happens if a payout is under the withdrawal minimum or over one of your limits.
Do I need to verify my identity to use Auto Cashout?
Not for Auto-Sell. Auto-Withdraw needs a verified identity on your account and a default bank account, and the app shows what's missing until both are in place.
Does Auto Cashout cost extra?
No. There's no charge for the feature, and Auto-Sell uses the same crypto-to-naira swap as a manual sale, which has zero fees on KWIQ. KWIQ doesn't charge stamp duty either.
