KWIQ Monthly Leaderboard: How Trade to the Top Works

· Updated · 2 min read

Short answer: Every month, KWIQ ranks traders by how much they traded that month in US dollars. The top 10 share a pool of 100,000 KWC (₦100,000 at today's rate), split in proportion to how much each of them traded, through the Trade to the Top campaign. Ranks 11 to 20 each get a flat 2,000 KWC from the Leaderboard Runner-Up Bonus. Both are paid automatically to your KWC balance at the start of the following month.

If you trade a lot on KWIQ, the monthly leaderboard turns that trading into extra KWC. Twenty people are rewarded every month.

Who gets what

Final rank for the month Reward Campaign
1 to 10 A share of 100,000 KWC, in proportion to your trading Trade to the Top
11 to 20 2,000 KWC each Leaderboard Runner-Up Bonus

At today's rate 1 KWC is ₦1, so the top 10 share ₦100,000 and each runner-up gets ₦2,000.

How the top 10 split the pool

The pool isn't divided equally. Each of the top 10 gets the same share of the 100,000 KWC as their share of the top 10's combined trading.

An example with made-up numbers: the top 10 traded $200,000 between them this month. You traded $30,000 of that, which is 15%, so you get 15% of the pool: 15,000 KWC. Someone in tenth place with $8,000 (4%) gets 4,000 KWC.

What counts towards your rank

Your rank is your total trading in the calendar month, measured in US dollars:

  • completed crypto sales, including deposits sold by Auto Cashout;
  • approved crypto buys;
  • approved gift card sales.

The month is counted in Lagos time and starts fresh on the 1st.

When you get paid

At the start of the following month, KWIQ pays every top-20 reward automatically to your KWC balance. There's nothing to claim. From there you can redeem KWC into your naira wallet once you have 2,000 KWC or more (see how KWC rewards work), so a runner-up reward can be cashed out on its own.

Following the race

The Leaderboard screen in the app refreshes live through the month, and you can pull down to refresh it. Heavy traders often pass ₦1,000,000 of trading in the month too, which earns the separate Trade to ₦1M bonus on top.

Trade because you need to

The leaderboard rewards people who already move a lot through KWIQ: businesses paid in USDT, freelancers, gift card traders. It isn't worth buying and selling just to climb it, because prices move while you hold, and crypto price swings can cost more than a prize is worth.

KWIQ sets the pool and the runner-up amount and may change them, so the Rewards hub in the app always has the current figures.

Frequently asked questions

How does the KWIQ leaderboard work?

KWIQ ranks users by their trading volume each calendar month, in US dollars, counting crypto sales, crypto buys and gift card sales. The top 10 share 100,000 KWC in proportion to their volume, and ranks 11 to 20 get 2,000 KWC each.

Is the leaderboard prize split equally?

No. The 100,000 KWC pool is shared in proportion to how much each of the top 10 traded, so the trader with the most volume gets the biggest share. Ranks 11 to 20 each get the same flat 2,000 KWC.

When are KWIQ leaderboard rewards paid?

Automatically, at the start of the next month, straight to your KWC balance. You don't need to claim them.

Where can I see my rank?

On the Leaderboard screen in the KWIQ app, which refreshes live during the month. Pull down to refresh it.
