Amazon gift cards add credit to an Amazon account in the country they were issued for, so a USA card works on Amazon.com and a UK card on Amazon.co.uk.
What affects your Amazon rate
- Country of issue: a USA card and a UK card of the same brand are rated differently.
- Physical card or e-code: physical cards and digital codes usually have different rates.
- Card value: many cards are rated in bands, for example $100–$500, so the amount matters.
- Receipt: for physical cards, having the purchase receipt can matter.
- Demand: rates follow how easily each card can be resold, and move with the naira exchange rate.
Before you sell
- Don’t add the card to your own Amazon account to check it: that redeems it and it can no longer be sold.
- Only sell cards you obtained legitimately. Cards bought with stolen payment details get blocked.
