What's New in KWIQ: Everything We Added in October 2026

· 5 min read

Short answer: October 2026 was KWIQ's busiest month of updates. The big ones: Auto Cashout sells crypto deposits for naira as they arrive and can send the naira to your bank; you can now buy crypto with naira as well as sell it; support chat lives inside the app; selling gift cards has a new, clearer flow; every transaction sits in one Activity feed; a switch shows your balance in naira or dollars; and the new KWC Rewards hub keeps every reward and your progress in one place. Update the app to get them all.

If you haven't opened KWIQ in a few weeks, it will look different. October brought a lot of changes, most of them about the same things: less tapping to get paid, help when you need it, and one place to see what's happening with your money.

Here's everything that's new, starting with the features that save you the most time.

Key takeaways

  • Auto Cashout turns crypto deposits into naira, and naira into a bank payout, without you lifting a finger.
  • Buy crypto with naira: KWIQ now sells every coin it has a wallet for, as well as buying it.
  • Support chat is inside the app, with photos, typing indicators and a notification when an agent replies.
  • Gift cards, Activity, withdrawals and verification all have clearer new screens.
  • KWC Rewards puts every bonus and reward in one hub you can cash out from.

Auto Cashout: crypto in, naira out

Auto Cashout has two switches in the More tab:

  • Auto-Sell sells every crypto deposit for naira as soon as it arrives, at the normal sell rate.
  • Auto-Withdraw sends that naira straight to your default bank account.

You confirm the change with your transaction PIN, and each coin's wallet page shows where your deposits will go. Anything that can't be paid out stays safely in your KWIQ wallet. It works with every coin the app lists, on Android, iPhone and the web app. Our full guide, KWIQ Auto Cashout, walks through the setup.

Buy crypto with naira

KWIQ isn't only for selling any more. Every coin KWIQ has a wallet for can now be bought with naira in the app: enter the amount in naira, pick the coin and confirm. And if you've just sold a gift card, the naira from that sale can be swapped to USDT in the app, which is handy if you'd rather hold dollars than naira.

Live sell rates

The Sell screen now shows a live rate for each coin that refreshes while you're selling, so the figure you see is the one that's current. You can also compare today's figures on our crypto to naira rates page. Selling crypto for naira has zero fees on KWIQ, and KWIQ doesn't charge stamp duty.

Support chat inside the app

You can now chat with KWIQ support without leaving the app. You'll see the name and photo of the person helping you, whether they're online, when they're typing and when they've read your message. You can send photos, which helps a lot with a deposit or gift card question, and you get a push notification when an agent replies. Find it from the support entry on Home or in the More tab.

A new way to sell gift cards

The Gift Cards tab has been redesigned from start to finish:

  • every brand has its own card artwork, and the card's own currency is shown;
  • you choose whether your card is physical or an e-code, and the app warns you if an e-code looks like it's going under a physical card option;
  • a review screen sums up the trade before you submit;
  • if a trade is declined, you see the reason and the proof, rather than guessing;
  • your gift card history updates live.

See which cards KWIQ buys on the sell gift cards page.

Everything in one Activity feed

Crypto, gift card and naira transactions now sit together in the Activity tab. You can filter the list and open any transaction to see its details, so finding last Tuesday's USDT sale doesn't mean checking three different screens.

Naira or dollars, your choice

Tap the switch on the Home balance card to see your balances and amounts in naira or in dollars across the app, including Activity. If you earn in USDT and think in dollars, this one is for you.

Easier withdrawals

The withdraw screen has a cleaner design and remembers your saved accounts. To make one your default, go to More, then Saved accounts, and tap the account to mark it as default: it's picked for you next time, and it's the account Auto-Withdraw pays into. If the Withdraw button is greyed out, the app now tells you why.

A clearer identity check

Verifying your identity is now a step-by-step flow for your BVN or NIN and a selfie, with guidance on taking a photo that passes first time. Your NIN comes from the National Identity Management Commission, if you don't have it to hand.

KWC Rewards and Refer and Earn

Rewards now have a home of their own. The KWC Rewards hub, reached from the Home screen, lists the rewards you can earn, shows your progress towards each one with a progress bar, and lets you redeem your KWC into your naira wallet in one tap. A banner on Home suggests your next step, whether that's making your first trade or cashing out your KWC.

The Refer and Earn page was redesigned too. It shows your sign-ups and earnings, and the share link now works properly on iPhone. Start with how KWC rewards work, which lists every reward running now: the First Trade Bonus, cashback on every trade, the weekly streak, the ₦1M monthly bonus, the monthly leaderboard and refer and earn.

Smaller things you'll notice

  • The leaderboard refreshes live, and you can pull down to refresh it.
  • Your Bitcoin deposit address is ready the first time you open Deposit, with no waiting.
  • Signing up is smoother, and you're signed in straight away once your account is created.
  • Safer sessions: if you leave the app idle, it asks "Still there?" before signing you out, and it tells you clearly if your account is signed in on another device.
  • Dark mode got a full tidy-up, newer Android phones no longer show a black status bar or hidden buttons, and the app tells you when an update is ready.

Get the update

Most of these arrived through October, so if you're on an older version, update KWIQ from your app store. New to KWIQ? Download the app or sign up on the web, and see everything else KWIQ does in our tutorials.
