Where these figures come from
KWIQ records its own sell rates every hour: the naira it pays for each coin when you sell in the app, exactly as shown on kwiq.app. Each day’s average, low and high come from those hourly readings, Lagos time.
They aren’t official Central Bank of Nigeria rates, and they can differ from other apps’ rates. They’re useful for checking what a payment was worth on a given day, for invoices, records and budgeting.
Using the history
- Invoices and records: note the rate on the day you were paid, for your own records or your accountant.
- Spotting trends: compare a month’s average with the month before.
- Today’s rate: for selling now, use today’s crypto to naira rates; the app shows the exact amount before you confirm.
